There’s word of mouth, celebrity endorsement and now, there’s another way to tell people who don’t already know about the Great British Spring Clean.
The ideal vehicles for promoting campaigns to places that may otherwise be out of reach is obvious: on the sides of bin lorries and recycling vehicles.
Local authorities up and down the country are already spreading messages about recycling, littering and fly-tipping on the sides of their refuse fleets. These are the only vehicles that travel in every neighbourhood street, in every Council in Britain.
Spedian™ quick change graphics systems are already in use on over 2000 refuse vehicles in Britain - it’s not too late for them to run a seasonal campaign about the Great British Spring Clean!
They can join the likes of Sir Richard Attenborough, Prince William, DJ Chris Evans, Sir Michael Palin, Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn in urging people to make this year’s event the largest ever.
Great British Spring Clean
The Keep Britain Tidy Group wants 500,000 people to join in the Great British Spring Clean from 22nd March to 23rd April – last year 370,000 joined in the giant litter pick. The event is being run in partnership with the Daily Mail newspaper.
Lawrence Craig, CEO and founder of Roadvert, which owns the Spedian™ system, said;
“It’s a fantastic event that really shows how community spirit can make a difference and it deserves all the support it can get.
“What could be more fitting than running campaigns on the sides of recycling vehicles and refuse trucks that visit every street where people live? Refuse collection vehicles are highly visible and reach places other campaigns don’t.
“And the beauty of the Spedian™ system is that they’re so quick and easy to fit that, once the campaign is over, you can remove them, roll them up and bring them out again next year. It’s simple.”
Many councils promote their own recycling and anti-littering messages on Spedian™ panels with huge success
Some have featured Keep Britain Tidy’s campaigns – for example, Hambleton Borough Council in Yorkshire has run an eye-catching campaign to remind dog owners to clean up after their pets.
